Val Locke
Val Locke is the Communication and Program Coordinator for Maine Outdoor Education Program at the New England Outdoor Center (NEOC). She has been lived in Maine her whole life. Val started working for Maine Outdoor Education Program in May of 2012 and has helped to progress the development of programmatic experiences for guests.
Prior to working for the Maine Outdoor Education Program, Val has coached many sports including basketball, and track and field. Through this she built an incredible relationship with school aged children of the area. Val holds is a Licensed Maine Recreation Guide.. She has a strong passion for supporting local food, health and community. You can often find her on an outdoor adventure with her children.

Favorite outdoor spot: Favorite outdoor sport depends on the season! I love to snowboard in the winter, paddle all summer and bird hunt in the spring and fall! Yoga outdoors all year!!
When you're not working, you're: When I'm not working I am working! When I'm not coaching with Maine outdoor education program I am guiding whitewater rafting, teaching yoga, guiding kayaking and canoe trips, guiding hiking and camping retreats, working in our restaurant or helping my husband with our hunting guide service!
